Honda sepertinya akan serius ni mas.. mendatangkan motor garuk tanah untuk mengimbangi pasar Kawasaki dan Viar. Honda CRF250L, tipe dual purpose, bisa digunakan untuk harian (Full kelengkapan motor untuk digunakan dijalan raya) dan digunakan untuk balapan, kira-kira begitu mas.

Motor ini tidak diproduksi massal di tanah air mas, tapi akan mendatangkan langsung dari Thaland, alias import. Wahh… harga berapa nihh kalo CBU?, untuk soal harga belum ada bocoran mas, kita tunggu aja, sabar.

Untuk engine sepertinya hampir mirip dengan Honda CBR250R single silinder 249cc liquid cooled. Menggunakan engine 4 tak generasi terbaru, system DOHC dengan 4 Valve lebar (30mm intake and 24mm exhaust). Menggunakan busi iridium, dipadu dengan sistem injeksi PGM-FI, akan lebih meningkatkan efisiensi pembakaran dan menurunkan polusi. Tipe silinder oversquare, bore x stroke dengan 76mm x 55mm. Menghasilkan torsi halus dan konsisten di RPM rendah untuk mendapatkan traksi roda belakang yang optimal dan nyaman bagi pengendara. Begitu juga pada RPM tinggi dengan kinerja stroke pendek (76mm x 55mm) akan mengirimkan daya menyeluruh di seluruh rentang putaran.

Untuk dual purpose, sasis menggunakan twin oval-section main spars and semi-double cradle dari bahan besi. Wheelbase 1,445mm, suspensi depan Showa 43mm, dipadu dengan suspensi belakang Showa 40mm pro-link dan swing belakang aluminium.
